To him, Georgia was home in a way few places ever were. Even now, whenever I drive through the state, I’m struck by its beauty and find myself stopping at roadside fruit stands for baskets of fresh peaches.
The scent brings back memories of homemade peach cobbler, warm pastries cooling in the kitchen, and simple moments that felt like summer would last forever.
